software engineer & ux designer · waterloo, ontario, canada · class of 2027

I’m Humza. I design and build interfaces that are practical, well made, and genuinely useful to the people on the other side of the screen.

who-i-am

Computer Science student at Wilfrid Laurier University, based in Waterloo. I sit somewhere between designer and engineer: I care as much about how a screen feels as how it is wired up.

I like projects that combine logic, problem-solving, and careful UI decisions. The most satisfying ones are tools that help people learn, experiment, and gain confidence through doing, rather than through reading a manual.

Clean code and good design go hand in hand. If a thing is hard to use, it is not finished, no matter how elegant the implementation is underneath.

how-i-work

  • -practical over impressive: build things people actually use
  • -clarity and restraint beat cleverness, especially in enterprise tools
  • -design and engineering belong in the same chair, not two teams
  • -fast, data-heavy screens should still feel calm
  • -good products are not just functional; they are enjoyable to use
